Nestled in their East Valley Ranch
is offering families an opportunity to decompress in the
beautiful Catskill Mountains.
Daytime Programming for children (4-11yrs/campers; 12-14 yrs./CiTs; 14+yrs Counselor interns
Work or Forest Bathing for Parents in a comfy lodge with a large porch.
EaS Evening programs for Families. (Campfires, Nighttime walks, etc)
All meals served.
Individual rooms in East Valley Ranch lodge along the Neversink River away from the main Campus.
WiFi for adults WFH.
$650 Total per family for the duration of the program.
(Family Lodge room; with meals and programming Wed eve-Friday afternoon.)
Our inaugural Family Camp at Frost Valley will be infused with examples of ways you can enrich your family's life with Nature. I will have materials and inspirations to open, broaden and focus attention on how the natural world provides so much teaching, along with Wonder, something that kids and adults need in this dense human technological age. There are lots of small ways to bring Nature into your life.
At Family Camp (East Valley Ranch, Frost Valley YMCA, Nov 4-6), I will be providing 2 camp days (9-3) where I will be exploring, playing and BEing in the Forest with your kiddos: Parents have the option to join us or do as you would like during that time. There is WiFi so if you need to work remotely, there is that option. We will be along the Neversink River and that thrills me too! Nothing like a River to help clear out any stuck energy! Campers: 4yrs*-11 yrs.
This is a multi-aged program and all our groups have a range of ages, with our youngest campers, *3.5 to 4 years old*. Younger campers should be able (and hopefully!) happy to go on 15 minute walks without being carried and able to communicate basic needs. (We don't have the same structure as preschool programs.)
CIT Program: 12-14 yrs. (Counselor in Training)
Our CIT program is growing and I'm thrilled at the opportunity for older kids (12-14yrs.) to have the benefits of Nature, our Learning and Lessons and to develop their own leadership skills. This is available for ALL our programs listed below at half the camper price.
To be a CIT, they need to write a paragraph about what they hope they will learn from being in the Forest with Earth and Sky School, supporting the younger campers.
EaS Counselor Interns: H.S./College
Counselor Interns at EaS, have an opportunity to develop their own personal leadership, listening and observational skills, critical thinking, mentorship, and Earth and Sky School unique pedagogy. If you know of any high school-aged students who would like to have a unique opportunity to develop participate, please have them email me.
